Are you waiting for Success ?

Are you waiting for Success ? Are you waiting for a successful moment to happen? What does the waiting period feel like- Frustrating or enjoyable? Painful or delightful? While you are aiming at a particularly big goal, achievement or promotion don’t forget, that point or moment will be temporary but what is permanent and greater than that is the period in between 1 successful moment to the next. They say “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket” But if you are putting in all your resources in one area/ on a single plan Here are 3 things to keep you resilient while you are waiting for success. Enjoy the process Don’t procrastinate on smaller goals Build new skills Enjoy the process Most of us know about this but aren’t able to actualize it. Let’s check. Are you giving too much importance to that single moment to come in the future? Do you feel life will be easier post the success moment? But what about today, which is in your control. Are you enjoying the process or you are just constantly restless about the future and the result? Have you found joy or peace while you are on the way? Because that is everything. Let me share something from my own life experience. I had a dream as a 10-year-old and that was to win the prestigious title of ‘Miss India’. I had been preparing for the “Miss India “Pageant for over 3 years once I grew up. I made 3 attempts over 3 years. Finally, my dream did come true I did end up winning 2 very prestigious pageants in the same year the Femina Style Diva Pageant 2012 (Winner) and 2nd Runners Up at Miss Universe India 2012 Pageant. Now if you ask me, what was the best part? The crowning moment was magical, but the preparation days are what I will cherish forever in my heart. I enjoyed every bit of the process, from dressing up, doing my make-up for the training to working on my communication skills, etiquette, etc. to working with Non-government organizations & helping other girls who were also preparing for the pageant. In the audition process, I had to express my opinions, walk like a diva and present my talent in front of Miss Sushmita Sen, wearing 6 inches heels. I loved all of it. What I took back from the journey was so much more valuable. Ask yourself are you enjoying the process? If you are dependent on those success moments to enjoy work, your goals, and life, the chances of becoming unhappy are high. · Don’t procrastinate on smaller goals Well, what happens with most people in the waiting period is, they postpone many smaller goals thinking when this happens I will do this, this, and this. But the important thing to realize here is maybe you are restricting yourself and your full potential, maybe you don’t need to depend on that moment to accomplish many of those things you are procrastinating about. You are capable of shining with or without that moment if you truly decide to do so regardless of when that moment comes. I have a great example that you can relate to if you are on social media. Now you might have come across a few influencers on Instagram some of them having 1 million followers and some of them shining as brightly or even more on their page despite having only 30,000 followers. Should the person having 30,000 followers wait to do all that she can till she crosses the 1 million success mark? Can she make the most incredible posts even right now without that 1 million mark? Is anything stopping her from impacting those 30,000 the same way that she could impact when having more followers? Many smaller goals get delayed while we are waiting to win or are waiting for that big success moment as all our focus and energy is lying far away in the future and so it becomes even more important to understand to focus on the current resources and immediate goals. Ask yourself, what are those smaller goals that I can start working on without waiting for that big moment? What are the different ways that you can achieve your smaller goals? Because sometimes when you focus on the smaller goals during the wait you might just open up new avenues for yourself. There is no guarantee for how many of your expectations will be taken care of post a success moment. If you receive beyond what you expected then that’ great but if not it’s still a win-win as you did not just wait for it you worked your way around it. · Build new skills The waiting period is a great time to work on yourself and develop additional skills. Always be open to learning from new people and experienced people. Having a beginner mindset for learning new things will make you thrive in whichever field you are in. Many people nowadays have the ‘know it all vibe’. Late American business executive, chemical engineer, and writer, Jack Welch said “Keep learning; don’t be arrogant by assuming that you know it all, that you have a monopoly on the truth; always assume that you can learn something from someone else.” In another instance, one of my dad’s closest friend who lives in London had an established papad and mathiya (Gujarati snacks) business. When his business was going through a low phase he utilized that time to study an electrical technician course and eventually managed to do both successfully with the help of his daughter. You can either feel bad, complain, and do nothing about the low phase or just hustle it out and build new skills in the same field or another. Let me know what your views are in the comment section below. You can appreciate my work with claps. Till then take charge & Make the wait worthwhile. 🙂

Entrepreneurs, you don’t want to hear this — “Long time, no see”?

Entrepreneurs, you don’t want to hear this — “Long time, no see”? Personal branding is not just about marketing but standing up for yourself and being at the forefront to represent your brand. Personal Branding starts with knowing who you are and what you want to be known for. There are 2 ways to create visibility: In person Through virtual platforms. Let’s talk about the first way. So, I have been a part of a very reputed business networking organization for almost two years. My main focus has always been on creating more visibility. (One of the major reasons is that my work is all about building relationships through visibility, and helping entrepreneurs to 5x their visibility and kickstart their video branding journey.) So, If you are good at what you do and add the topping of visibility to it, you are striving towards being unstoppable. Each business owner gets 30 seconds to stand out in the networking meets. There are certain people’s 30 seconds that I always look forward to. They try to experiment with how they present what they do; there is a little effort taken towards engaging the audience and so on. An ex-dentist member, Dr Bhimani, was not only a good dentist, but he was excellent when it came to 30 seconds. I’m still his client today. With the impact he made, I’m sure even after 2 years the members won’t forget him and how good he was when he made that little effort towards visibility and engagement. Others have declared in their minds that they aren’t good at variety or experimenting or it’s just fine to say the same thing every week for a year not worrying about whether people pay attention or not. To be honest, there were a few members I didn’t even notice for almost 6 months of being in the networking group. Sadly, when it comes to visibility, you will be the last person to realize that you aren’t being as noticed as you think. With no effort in 30 seconds around so many businesses. You don’t leave an impact, in my opinion, until you meet every member on a 1-to-1 basis which has its benefits, but of course, it takes time to meet all 50 members or more 1 by 1 and so creating visibility in the group meetings, matters. I remember this one time when I didn’t say a word for 10 seconds in my 30-second presentation and on the 11th second, I said this is exactly how engaging your social media presence looks with only text and few photo posts. You can see that video on my Instagram handle @coachdipnapatel — https://www.instagram.com/reel/CzwUURpOdGQ/?igsh=ZWQ3ODFjY2VlOQ== Another way of standing out in group meets is taking up the presentation slot which I call as the “visibility slot,” as you get additional minutes to talk and make your business stand out rather than just 30 seconds. After every presentation I do, I end up getting new clients for my mastermind. Being a theatre performer for more than a decade now, engaging with audiences comes naturally to me, and so I constantly encourage and help entrepreneurs to do the same. I also know a very well-known coach Gemini Dhar, who empowers women entrepreneurs to be financially stronger. She is excellent at personal branding and experienced the benefits in a shorter period compared to others, precisely because she focused on personal branding to grow her business. https://www.instagram.com/dhar.gemini?igsh=MW9lMzVkNjJ5eXo4OQ== Now, let’s talk about visibility through social media. I would want to begin with my own success story of how I started my masterminds (Camera and Me Mastermind and the Inspiring Dreams Mastermind) online and reached my first 100 clients based only on my Instagram Video branding. In a sea full of content, knowledge, and brands, adding a face to a brand helps you stand out. It’s the best time for entrepreneurs to face the camera, as the audience now wants to know who the person behind the business idea is. Social media is a great way to establish credibility, authority, and trust building, especially if you are a solopreneur, you are starting a new parallel business or increasing your online presence for your already existing business. The best advantage of being regular with social media postings on your handle is you aren’t out of mind, out of sight. Very often, people I meet start the conversation with “Hey, I saw that video of yours rather” than “Long time, where have you been?” I also remember this one particular incident where I was travelling to a city in India and had to attend a networking event. A friend’s client, whom I had never met found out that I was in her city, she had been following my Instagram handle for a couple of months and reached out to me. She made the effort to come to the event once I was free, took me around made me meet 2 other entrepreneurs who would be a good connection, and all of this even without ever meeting me before. She also mentioned it doesn’t feel like I haven’t met you before as I keep seeing your videos often. So when a person who sees you in videos meets you, and they see the same pattern same way of talking, behaviour , and connection, their mind says, “Yes, I know them, there is familiarity and an instant bond is made.” Thus, it’s important to be as close to who you are in person when you face the camera or address an audience on stage. Most people struggle to do this and this is where my mastermind can help you. By applying the step-by-step system that is accessible to you in the mastermind the results are guaranteed every single time. The mastermind is focused towards making you a 1 man army or a 1-woman army. In “Camera & Me Mastermind”, the journey begins with working towards having the right mindset, shedding camera inhibitions and getting your videos to look professional. If
